According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the annual inflation rate for the US is 1.7% for the 12 months ended August 2019. Inflation rate has moved from 0.7% in the year 2015 to 1.7% in 2019. Below table will help in understanding the change in inflation rate over the last five year.

Real GDP Growth Rate:
The real GDP increased at an annual rate of 2% in the second quarter of 2019 (Source: Bureau of Economic Analysis) whereas, in the first quarter real GDP increased 3.1%. Fiver year low was in 2016 i.e. 1.3% and highest was in 2015 i.e. 4%.
