From a broader perspective of society, should we care about addressing health disparities? Why? What impact do health disparities have on our nation's health care system? Which of the determinants of health (typically researched by scientists and researchers in trying to understand the health differences between populations) do view as most important? Why?
1). The differences existing in the health status of different groups of groups refers to health disparities. Means, some groups or communities in our society tend to have certain rates of occurring of some diseases and suffer more compared to the other groups. The following are the different factors that contribute to the health differences.
The following the helpful measures to reduce the health care disparities:
1). Health disparities due the economical differences, geographic region and disabilities can be effectively reduced by the implementation of the Remote Area Medical clinics (RAM clinics). Through this health care plan, people with no or less insurance can receive the medical services from a number of physicians, nurses and other medical staff members.
2). Increasing the health literacy among people, also promoting the cultural awareness among the people and avoiding generalization.
3). Encouraging community-based participatory research to improve the health of different communities
4). Recruiting the medical staff from different regions or recruiting the bilingual medical staff
