Direct costs associated with the directly running the education institution can include the amounts that are paid to staffs who take care of arts, music, library & other activities in the school, salaries can also include the amounts paid to the non teaching staff, maintenance of building, expenditure on school equipments or furniture

Indirect costs in the school can refer to the amounts that are paid for taking the students to any field trips which is part of their education etc. indirect costs can also include the amounts that are paid to the school administration, personnel & security.

Cost objective:

The cost objective of these expenses from the view point of school would be to ensure smooth running of the school, for management of school, to take care of the various expenses that is incurred by the school. Hence it is for this reason that all these expenses would be included in the fee structure of the students. Some schools tend to charge more based on the facilities offered in the school & certain other schools tend to charge less or a minimal amount.
