Creating a children’s book of your choice!
-For this assignment, you must create an original story of your own making.
-The story should be at least 5 pages long. (If your text is very short, you can consider full-page illustrations.)
-You can choose the form of your text (i.e. will it be a poem? A rhyming narrative? Will it include rhyme at all? Will it be a fairy tale? Will it be an extended lyrical poem? Will it be a prose book about a real-life event? Will it be a multicultural book (either general or specific)? Will it be fictional? Realistic or fantastical? Science fiction? Will it be a story meant to communicate an ageless truth? Will it be more serious or more lighthearted? What is the book’s purpose? Does it have specific lessons/morals? Theme?)
I can help you with a story that belongs to a fairy tale category. The purpose of the story would be to give a moral lesson to the children. The moral would be that we shall follow only truth and hard work and never follow lie and shortcut. I shall tell you the points that shall be expanded. Hary and Tim are two friends who were the top two bright students in their class. Tim is the one who comes first and Harry usually comes second. Once Harry decides to come first and plans of taking any shortcut possible as to become first. He steals Tim's social science notebook 2 days before the test paper. Tim was disappointed that he lost his book and complained the same to the teacher. Harry was worried and therefore could not concentrate much on studies due to fear of getting caught. Finally, test paper day came and Tim answered questions from his memory as he used to finish lessons regularly. Harry on the other hand couldn't complete his studies and failed to answer several questions. Result got published and Tim was first as usual while Harry was pulled down to 10th position this time. After a few days, Harry went to Tim and admitted that he stole the book. Tim was shocked but told him not to worry as he would not disclose it to anyone. Tim also told him that from then on he would help Harry learn lessons easily as to score fairly good in exams. This marked the beginning of a great friendship between the two.
