A strategic relationship is never held in between saudi arabia and russia. Thse two countries are not at all focussed on sustainable environment. The overall mutual attachment is highly dependent on the track records of relationships. The absence of trust issues results in the overall decrease in joint activities. In the perspective of russia, saudi arabia is the 'reserve' of the west even with the relationship between US and Saudi Arabia. The Russia's activities is explained as a manifestation of islamophobia by the saudi peoples.
During the syrian civil war, the relationship between the Russia and Saudi Arabia became drawned. Suadi Arabia beginned a oil price war with Russia on march 8, 2020 to get a 65% fall in the oil price. This price war was initiated by the OPEC and Russia as a result of problems in production of oil due to the outbreak of covid-19 disease. Due to this, Russia suddenly leaves out from the agreement resulting in declination of OPEC. Due to reduction in the demand, the prices of oil had already been reduced to 30%. The present global stock market crush is occured highly due to this price war.
Russia has a good presence in the middle east and this presence is related with the relationship between iran government and syrian government. These countries are considered as the opponents of Riyadh and recognizes syria as a primary thing to engage in political conflicts with Moscow. This conflict has a high impact on other bilateral segments.
