1. Trump administration has consistently accused China of being unfair in trade as well as other sectors of the economy. US belives China has been forcing US companies operating in China to share technology and other trade secrets. The stealing of intellectual property rights of the US companies by Chinese companies has made American companies incompetitive with respect to their Chinese counterparts.

One of the biggest concern of Trump administration is that the Chinese companies are used by government of China for surveillance purpose and that there are security concerns as well. One such example is of Huawei being banned in the US.

2. US has consistently raied the issue of stealing of intellectual property rights with China at multiple forums.

Other tools that are used by the US to address these problems are sanctioning of Chinese firms caught in sharing customer information with the Chinese government and imposing various other restrictions on such firms's operation.

Two firms, 1 and 2, are engaged in Bertrand price competition. There are10possible buyers, each of whom is willing to pay up to $4, and no more, for an item the firms sell .Firms 1 and 2 have identical unit costs of $2. However, each firm has a capacity of 8units, so that it cannot satisfy the whole market by itself (it can only satisfy 8 possible buyers, at most). The firms simultaneously announce prices, p1 and p2 respectively and the...
