The overpopulation is one of the biggest issues in the present
time. So, I am writing my essay and point of view in brief with
some argumentative some of the most common points. In my opinion,
overpopulation has only adverse effects on the environment such as
:-
- Global Warming -
All of the human beings and animals breathe in Oxygen and release
Carbon dioxide but that's not only the issue! more population means
more need of Gas, Coal, Oil and other energy sources which produce
CO2 when burned out. The CO2 emitted from the
source gets trapped inside the earth as the phenomena of Green
House effect. Another reason for the global warming is
deforestation. As we all know that plants change Carbon dioxide
into oxygen which is good for our environment but the deforestation
is increasing rapidly to provide wood, paper and other essential
materials to the people and because of that the global warming is
increasing rapidly.
- Provision of Drinking Water
- Although our earth is surrounded by 70% of water but
only 2.5% of the water is drinkable water. The rest of the water is
ocean and saline based. The more interesting fact is that only 1%
of the drinking water is easily accessible to the world population
of approximately 7.5 billion people. There are even some places in
the world where water crisis is the biggest issue.
- Provision of Food
- As the population is increasing, the need of food is
also increasing and this led to the need of more farmland area and
crops to be provided to the population. Sometimes, the crops rots
because of any particular environmental needs and because of that
the prices of the fruits and vegetables goes high and cannot be
afforded by economically lower classes.
- Employment - In
modern era, human being needs employment to earn money and provide
food, shelter, clothing and other needs of themselves and to the
provide it to the family but, financial crisis are frequently
occurring as the number of unemployed people is increasing and the
major reason behind this is overpopulation.
