Evaluate the U.S. public health policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consider issues such as virus testing, availability of medical supplies, contact tracing, social distancing, and restrictions on economic activity, social gatherings, and travel as well as any others you think important. Were U.S. policies appropriate and effective and why? What, if anything should the U.S. have done differently and why?
US government took several efficient policies to fight against
COVID 19. There are several precautionary measure taken by
Administration of Children and families. Children and old age
people who don’t have amble immunity power having a high chance for
affecting the virus. Giving proper information to old people and
children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission offers safety to
home and give proper advice. Defence department ensure the health
and safety of military people who are in the boarders. There is
strict travel restrictions imposed. The boarders of Canada and
Mexico become stricter. The financial institutions give personal
financial support for the impact of corona virus.
Many social gatherings and meetings were cancelled to ensure social
distancing to avoid the community spread of this disease. There is
broad police power exercise to protect the health of citizens. The
public legal authority focuses on measures to present the
interstate spread of disease. As of March 27, 2000 among 50 states
in US declare emergency. There is strict restriction upon the
freedom of movement; this limits the civil rights. Several stay at
home policies implemented. There are problems emerged due to the
federalism. Now the policies were based on local interest. There is
lack of federal leadership to guide make US as an epicentre of
COVID19. Several measures took for social distancing. Federal
emergency declaration provides best power for unifying the
response. Defence Production Act gives the right to private
companies to produce needs supplies. This took stranger step to
prevent the spread like immigration detention centres and
correction facilities. The US policies are national and also
rational.
