Expert Solution

LIMITATION OF CONCEPT OF DEMAND

  • difficult to choose the situation whether the demand for a product is elastic, inelastic, unity.
  • terms like inferior goods, giffen goods, price ,substitution ,income effects are complicated terms and not easily understood by the layman.
  • difficulty in derivation - derivation of demand curve through Marginal utility graph is not easy and sometimes doesn't hold true.
  • demand is depending on mental stage of the consumer rather than income and person would borrow funds to satisfy his demand in some special cases.this defy the rule of demand.

LIMITATION IN THE CONCEPT OF SUPPLY-

  • psychology of supplier-concept of supply generally depend upon the supplier and supplier is concerned with his own profit maximization.
  • manipulation by supplier-supplier generally under produce the goods so there would be scarcity and the prices would go up.
  • different market situation-supply decisions can't be same for all the market structures therefore it would be difficult to choose and apply a particular principle.

write 150 words Please discuss these topics; include the demand and supply of the credit, chance of default, financial ratios covering solvency and liquidity, the importance of credit ratings and bankruptcy prediction model (Altman's Z score). Your discussion should include, among others, the importance of credits in the capital market, the significance of crediting ratings for your long-term viability.

1. Using the aggregate demand (AD), the short-run aggregate supply (SRAS), and the long-run aggregate supply (LRAS) curves, briefly explain how an open market purchase will affect the equilibrium price level (P) and real output (Y) in the short run. Assume the economy is initially in a recession. 2. Using the quantity equation (the equation of exchange) briefly explain the quantity theory of money. Specifically, how the quantity theory of money explains why inflation occurs.

Illustrate a graph with aggregate demand, short-run aggregate supply and long-run aggregate supply all intersecting. Then, show what happens in the short-run when the government increases taxes. What happens to the price level and output in the short-run? Finally, adjust the short-run aggregate supply curve so that we are back in long-run equilibrium. What is the long-run effect of the increased taxation on output and the price level? Be sure to include your illustrations.

VALERIE: Hi, Shen! Are the basics of aggregate demand and aggregate supply analysis essentially the same as microeconomic demand and supply analysis? SHEN: There are a lot of similarities but there are some very important differences. A few of the key differences are that, when dealing with aggregate demand (AD) and aggregate supply (AS) curves, the vertical axis measures the price level and not just the price for one good or service and the horizontal axis measures aggregate output,...
