Using a scrum framework for sprint planning is a condition where the team assess the product backlog items that will be worked upon during the sprint event. This is followed by an extensive discussion on the initial planning and completion of the backlog items.

The people that are included in the sprint planning includes the whole team of scrum master, team members, and product owner. It is important to mention that a team room is the best place to conduct a sprint planning because all the required information can be accessed and at the same time the information can be updated and referenced. The best time to organize a sprint planning is on the day when the sprint will first occur.

The planning procedure of a sprint mainly consists of two parts, first is the scope and it is followed by a plan. In the scoping part, the team selects the items that will be completed during the sprint and the planning part includes team discussion with more details.
