*Most accurate method that can be used is the GIScience.

this method also includes other techniques sucha s remote sensing, cartography, spatial data organization, web mapping and Digital data management is also part of GIScience.

Geographic information system-this is the widely used technique in uraban planning which helps us in storing, input, summarizing, manupulation, visualizing graphic infomaion and editing.

REMOTE SENSING-In this technique satellites are use to capture the images of the earth to the information earth surface and the atmosphere. this digital images are analyzedanfd this helps  to know what features are present on the earth surface and their precise loaction.

Cartography-This method helps in designing, construction and evaluation of maps.As maps are powerful communicating tool there are to be well design but to work all this it requires special knowledge about computer science, statistics, graphic desighn, statisctics etc.

OTHER METHODS CAN BE USE ARE

-GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM

-DIGITAL GLOBES

-GEOVISUALIZATION

-LOACTION BASED SERVICES

-VOLUNTEERED GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
