ACA permitted states to expand their Medicaid programs. In addition, through ACA Medicaid expansion, incomes thresholds was increased, increasing the number of people eligible for Medicaid via the ACA .

So many changes have been made to the ACA that includes ,

1) elimination of individual mandates- this is th one of the most significant changes,the individual manadate was the requirement under the ACA that people lacking health insurance coverage from their employers and people didn’t qualify for Medicaid or Medicare needed to obtain coverage, usually through the ACA exchanges.

2) permitted to add a work requirement to Medicaid- especially this consider to include all low income adults.

3) termination of ACA cost sharing subsidies- the federal government provided insurance companies that participated in the ACA exchanges payment to assist theses insurance in keeping premium cost lower and to entice them to continue to participate.

4) returns the skinny insurance plan
