The diagram below shows an mRNA molecule that encodes a protein with 202 amino acids. The start and stop codons are highlighted, and a portion of the nucleotide sequence in the early part of the molecule is shown in detail. At position 35, a single base-pair substitution in the DNA has changed that would have been a uracil (U) in the mRNA to an adenine (A).
Based on the genetic code chart below, which of the following would be the result of this single base-pair substitution?

1- How can we respond when we see a looming catastrophe, but bureaucracy disagrees or moves too slowly?
2- How can we as a medical community be less dismissive of the renegade thinkers who are able to see the implications of a clinical problem early?
3- What parallels did you find between what occurred during the early stages of the AIDS pandemic in the United States, and what is happening with regards to the COVID outbreak, today?
4- Bill Gates provided some insight into the risk of a future pandemic. Well, now that pandemic is here. Based on the film and your viewing of his talk, what extraordinary measures/steps should we take in order to stop this pandemic in its tracks, or, at the very least, slow the spike of new cases?

The money markets have been active since the early 1800s but have become much more important since 1970, when interest rates rose above historic levels. In fact, the rise in short- term rates, coupled with a regulated ceiling on the rate that banks could pay for deposits, resulted in a rapid outflow of funds from financial institutions in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This outflow in turn caused many banks and savings and loans to fail. The industry regained its health only after massive changes were made to bank regulations with regard to money market interest rates.
a) Define the characteristics of the money markets.
b) Explain TWO (2) reasons why businesses use the money markets.
c) Describe TWO (2) purpose of money markets.

1. A quick history: When I was taking finance classes in the early 1990s, My finance professor, an intimidating guy from Rochester, NY, impressed upon us all that we'd have to be fools not to be earning 10% in the market. This was largely due to the times. Everyone made money in the early 90s. The way you measure your gains against everyone else is by using CAPM. Your text mentions some shortfalls of CAPM that have popped up over the years. If we assume the problems with CAPM were always there, how might the prevalent use of CAPM have led to irrational capital pricing decisions and how might that affect the value of a company?
3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of financing an expansion with debt rather than equity? Does this change if you are financing a replacement project?

The OECD is a group if the 35 mostly rich democracies. They review income gaps among age groups. A recent report shows that Millennials are doing better than
OECD citizens now in the early 30's have 7% more disposable income than Generation X had at that age, over 40% more than boomers enjoyed when they were that age. The younger generations may sigh when older people say that they have it easier but the number say that the do. Americans in their early 30's are slightly worse off than the preceding generation due to the linger of the global financial crisis. Many are not acquiring wealth or assets in the manner as preceding generations.
Class,
What are your thoughts?
Do you feel this wage gap?
