Have a regular deck of cards with no jokers (13 cards per suit, 4 suits) giving 52 cards. Suppose we draw 5 card hand, so 5 cards without replacement.

What is the probability of getting a royal flush but where the cards ordered by rank have alternate color? That is, order the cards as 10,J,Q,K,A and then check to see they have alternate colour. Note in a proper royal flush, it is all the one suit, but we have changed that to alternate colour. So, for example “red 10, black J, red Q, black K, red A” is OK but “red J, black 10, red Q, black K, red A” is not OK because once reordered in rank the alternating colour no longer holds. Note the order in which they are drawn from the pack is not considered. 2.2 No repeats.

What is the probability that in the sequence of cards, as they are drawn, no rank occurs twice in a row? So ignoring the suit, the following are allowed: A, 10, 4, J, 10 or A, 10, A, 4, A, but the following are not allowed: A, A, 10, 4, A (A repeated in positions 1 and 2), A, 4, 10, 10, J (10 repeated in positions 3 and 4

Historically, 20% of graduates of the engineering school at a major university have been women. In a recent, randomly selected graduating class of 210 students, 58 were females. Does the sample data present convincing evidence that the proportion of female graduates from the engineering school has shifted (changed)? Use α = 0.05.

***I ALREADY HAVE A-E ANSWERED***
A.State the null and alternative hypotheses to be tested and indicate whether the test is left-tailed, right-tailed or two-tailed.

B. List the conditions that should be met in order to proceed with the hypothesis test and explain why (or show how) they are met.

C.Compute the test statistic and p-value for the hypothesis test and sketch the distribution of the test statistic, if the null hypothesis is true. Identify - label and shade - the region(s) represented by the p-value. Show your calculation(s).

D.Make a statistical decision about the null hypothesis (i.e. fail to reject H0 or reject H0), using the p-value approach. Justify your answer.

E.Write your conclusion in the context of the problem.

***I NEED F AND G ANSWERED***

F.Suppose we were to instead use a confidence interval to test if the proportion of female graduates from the engineering school differs from 20%.

-What would be the confidence level?

-Construct the confidence interval and explain how it supports your decision/conclusion made in (d) and (e). Show your calculation(s).

G.Determine the critical value(s) for this hypothesis test and explain how you would use it to come to the same decision/conclusion.

3.What are the difference between traditional income statement and contribution income statement?

4.compare direct cost and indirect cost

Historically the S&P 500Index has returned about 8% a year but returns are very uneven as recent experience has reminded us - the INDEX declined by more than 50% from its peak in2007 and took 7 years to attain that peak level again. Last year the S & P 500 Index gained over 30% but this year it declined by over 30% in March alone. In contrast a typical Money Market Fund has returned about 2% a year with minimal capital fluctuation. Given these facts, evaluate the following: a) You are considering spending $20,000 to purchase a common stock “S&P 500” Index Fund. Assuming that you plan to use this money as a house down payment1 year from now, how risky would you consider this investment? Briefly discuss your perception of risk in this decision, given your specific objective.Very lowVery high risk____________________________ risk 1 2 3 4 5 6 7Briefly explain your decision:b) How risky would it be if you planned to use this “S&P 500” Index Fund as the major component of your retirement funds, 40 years from now?
