When 100 mL each of 2.0 × 10-4 M Ca2+ and 2.0 × 10-2 M F- are mixed, what is the remaining Ca2+ ion concentration ? The solubility product constant of CaF2 is 5.3 × 10-9. (Hint: Determine the limiting reactant, the concentration of excess reactant after precipitation, and how the concentration of excess reactant influences the solubility of CaF2).

Post a response (2-4 sentences each). You can start a discussion by pointing out additional reasons why you think this source is or is not credible. You can also suggest ways in which the site could be improved (is there information or are there sources they could have added? Are there different messages that would be more appropriate?). Write at least 1 response-post for each of the THREE “Part 1” posts you read (you will need at least 3 responses in total). For full marks, your posts must significantly contribute to the conversation, rather than simply be a “me too” response. Remember, the purpose of this assignment is to think critically.

The nutritional claim that I have chosen focuses on the benefits of The Mediterranean Diet. According to the nutritional website https://oldwayspt.org/ , the Med Diet is a reflection of the traditional way of eating of those countries surrounding the Mediterranean including Italy, Greece, France and Spain. A Mediterranean Diet has a strong emphasis on physical activity and socialization as well as eating a plentiful of whole grains, fish, seafood, fruits and vegetables and healthy fats. This diet also recommends that dairy and meat products should be consumed in moderation.
1B:
Does the claim make sense?
Yes, the claim does make sense as the Mediterranean Diet consists of a variety of foods from the various food groups according to Canada’s Food Guide. The core foods of this diet include fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, herbs, spices and healthy fats such as those found in olive oil. It is widely known that fruits and vegetables are a vital part of one’s diet due to the many health benefits. Switching to solely whole grain products is beneficial as they are extremely nutrient rich and are an excellent source of fibre.
Does the information come from a credible source?
Oldways is a non-profit food and nutrition organization, therefore the information does come from a credible source. Founded in 1990 by K. Dunn. Gifford, Oldways is determined to promote healthy eating a drinking by providing programs and recipes to help consumers live a more healthy and balanced life. The website seems to be valid as they feature many health studies performed by credible sources to outline the many different traditional diets and the benefits that could result from them.
Is the website selling something?
In my opinion, the overall aim of the website is not to sell anything. They provide very valuable information about diets, recipes, and ways to improve health and well-being. At the top of the site, there is a subheading leading readers to their shop where they do sell Oldways books and merchandise relating to their different nutritional programs. Therefore, yes, the website is selling something, however it isn’t advertised greatly on the site and isn’t the main premise of the nutritional website.
1C:
After examining the nutritional website, I have come to the conclusion that I do trust the site. It is a well-known non-profit organization worldwide and is referenced my many trusted medical professionals and nutritionists. They provide very valuable information and resources and their programs are used by many in North America. Oldways has published books and recipes making them a very credible and trusting source to get your nutritional information from.

Problem 11-19 Project Analysis [LO1, 2, 3, 4] You are considering a new product launch. The project will cost $2,300,000, have a four-year life, and have no salvage value; depreciation is straight-line to zero. Sales are projected at 310 units per year; price per unit will be $19,200, variable cost per unit will be $13,700, and fixed costs will be $700,000 per year. The required return on the project is 9 percent, and the relevant tax rate is 24 percent. a. Based on your experience, you think the unit sales, variable cost, and fixed cost projections given here are probably accurate to within ±10 percent. What are the upper and lower bounds for these projections? What is the base-case NPV? What are the best-case and worst-case scenarios? (A negative answer should be indicated by a minus sign. Do not round intermediate calculations. Round your NPV answers to 2 decimal places, e.g., 32.16. Round your other answers to the nearest whole number, e.g. 32.) b. Evaluate the sensitivity of your base-case NPV to changes in fixed costs. (A negative answer should be indicated by a minus sign. Do not round intermediate calculations and round your answer to 2 decimal places, e.g., 32.16.) c. What is the cash break-even level of output for this project (ignoring taxes)? (Do not round intermediate calculations and round your answer to 2 decimal places, e.g., 32.16.) d-1. What is the accounting break-even level of output for this project? (Do not round intermediate calculations and round your answer to 2 decimal places, e.g., 32.16.) d-2. What is the degree of operating leverage at the accounting break-even point? (Do not round intermediate calculations and round your answer to 3 decimal places, e.g., 32.161.)
