Chapter 10 (Excel file included):
Scores in the first and fourth (final) rounds for a sample of 20 golfers who competed in the PGA tournaments are included in the attached Excel file. Suppose you would like to determine if the mean score for the first round of a PGA Tour event is significantly different than the mean score for the fourth and final round. You are curious: Does the pressure of playing in the final round cause scores to go up? Or does the increased player concentration cause scores to come down?

Please read the following scenario and then create the deliverable listed below, 1) Use case diagram 2) Interaction diagram 3) Create the core and supporting classes of the RIM (Entity, Role, Role Relationship, Participation, Act, Act Relationship) similar to the one in slide 20 in the live session Note: Copy the MS VISIO diagrams and paste them onto a word document and then submit only one word file to the assignment submission link. Scenario Mrs. Annie Nuclear showed symptoms such as sudden onset of fever, headache, and stiff neck for the past 3 days. Annie Nuclear suddenly fell down and lost consciousness and 911 was called. Your solution will be addressing the following section. The message models (design part) will be for the whole scenario. The HL7 v2.x or v3 message implementation can be limited to one interaction mentioned in this scenario. After admitting into the ER, she was treated with mild antibiotics and samples of blood and cerebrospinal fluid were sent for testing. Annie Nuclear was then moved to an isolation ward at the Greenville hospital. Dr. Admit, the clinician for Annie Nuclear, has not yet received the laboratory results, but based on clinical findings (ER) he believes this to be a suspect case of Meningococcal Meningitis (MM)[1]. The doctor sends an investigation request to the local public health unit indicating that lab tests have been ordered but no results are available yet. Nightingale working at the local public health unit accepts the investigation request. She creates a âsuspectâ case for Annie and then follows up by sending the hospital a care plan request message. This message recommends that the hospital place Annie on respiratory isolation until 24 hours after the commencement of treatment. Nightingale goes to the hospital to see Annie and initiates contact tracing. Annie identifies sixteen people (all within her extended family) with whom sheâs recently shared meals. Nightingale records these individuals as close contacts of this case. In the meantime Nightingale receives confirmation of MM from the Laboratory through Laboratory Result Notification. The Lab has sent these results to Public Health because this is a notifiable condition. Dr. Admit treats Annie Nuclear for MM and immediately administers antibiotics; since the MM was diagnosed at a very early stage, Annie Nuclear made a thorough recovery.

Question
conduct an in-depth evaluation and assessment on Glassroots inc
Identify the vision, mission, and purpose of this organization.
1. From the information that you gather, identify key strategic issues on
--- fundraising and
--how to get more volunteers organization.
Answer
Fundraising:
The fundraising will have difficulties since this is a very niche initiative and it involves specific people with very specific interests which involve creativity in glass making or glass art. This form of art, though special is very niche and has a very limited number of consumer base hence limiting their chances of finding appropriate people to raise funds from. The niche level of these art forms is the reason behind the key strategic issues of this initiative.
Glassroots Inc can make it a point to increase their presence in the events which are similar to that of the work which Grassroots is involved in, with this strategy they will be in a position to meet people who share the like interests and hence it will be a great opportunity to increase the network and making it deeper hence allowing a greater reach of the idea of Glassroots Inc. This strategy will help in promoting this idea through word of mouth and hence would pose great opportunities to find the fundraisers for the idea of Glassroots Inc.
How to get more Volunteers:
To get more volunteers on these art forms which has a niche consumer base it is imperative that one spread the knowledge and awareness about these art forms to spark off the interest in the prospective users. Having different promotional activities such as conducting workshops, visiting the corporate office, etc can help in kickstarting the promotional activities and hence gaining more users from these promotional activities. using word of the mouth strategy becomes very useful in such scenarios.
it is possible to use social media for getting more followers for the idea of Grassroots. The social media is a very good strategy to reach the people around the globe and hence posing the entire globe as the prospective volunteers for the Grassroots. By geo targetting and demographic targetting of the advertisements for reaching the most likely prospective clients and thus it is possible to reach the maximum audience with minimal cost of using the digital platform. Hence using the power of social platforms for gaining more volunteers can be attached.

Question Three: Capital Budgeting
You are considering starting a small coffee shop in Auckland. After some market research and analysis, you have come up with two potential locations, one in the Central City (to be named as City Café) and the other one in Ellerslie (to be called Ellerslie Café). The setup costs are estimated to be $50,000 for City Café and $45,000 for Ellerslie Café. Given your budget constraint, you can only choose one of these options.
You have learned that small businesses would generally struggle during the first few years of operations. You took an optimistic forecasting approach and estimated that the first year after-tax net cash flows would be $8,000 and $6,800 for City Café and Ellerslie Café, respectively. The annual growth in net cash flows is estimated to be 3% for City Café and 2% for Ellerslie Café for the first 5 years (years 2 to 5) and then based on the end of year 5 cash flows, the growth in cash flows will increase to 6% for City Café and 5% for Ellerslie Café from years 6 to 10 as you improve your customer service and gain more loyal customers.
You are optimistic that you will be running the business for at least 10 years. At the end of the 10th year, if you were to end the business, you estimated the salvage values (after depreciation) to be $10,000 for City Café and $7000 for EllerslieCafé. Your estimated cost of capital is 9.5%.
a) Using the above information, conduct an NPV analysis for each option.
NPV for City Café: Central Cafe :
NPV for Ellerslie Café:
a) Based on your NPV results, which option shall you adopt to start your small business?
Option to be adopted: City cafe
