Question 7 – Data Design Bundoora College has a small book store that opens for students, staff and general public. Currently, they use a manual order system. The manager asked you to build a database for them. You had an interview session with him and you get a general overview about the database requirements. The database should store: • Orders information made by students, staff or general public. The order should have order number, the date and the time it is made. • Customers details, so that the manager can notify the customers with the order status as well as send promotional material. The detail includes customer code, the full name, home address, contact phone number, and email address. • List of the items in each order. The items can be books and/or stationeries. For each book, you should be able to include the details such as the title, the authors, the ISBN, and the price. For stationery, you should have the code, description, and price. • If a book is required for a particular subject offered in Bundoora College, the database should store this data as well. The information includes the subject code, the subject name, the coordinator name, and the semester it is offered.
a) Create an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) for the bookstore database. Make sure you include all required entities, relationships and cardinalities information. [15 marks]
b) Create the table design (schema) for the database. You should indicate clearly the primary and foreign keys for each table. [10 marks]
c) During which phase of the SDLC is ERD used? [5 marks]

We plan to develop customer’s database that stores customer’s number (ID), first name, last name and balance. The program will support three operations: (a) reading and loading customer’s info from the text file, (b) entering new customer’s info, (c) looking up existing customer’s info using customer’s number(ID), (d) deleting the customer’s info and (e) the updated database will be stored in the text file after the program terminate.
Customer’s database is an example of a menu-driven program. When the program begins to execute, it first read the text file and upload customer’s info. Then it presents the user with a list of commands. The user can enter as many commands as desired, in any order. The a command prompts the user to enter customer’s number (ID), first name, last name and balance, which are then stored in the program’s database. The f command prompts the user to enter a customer number and then display the corresponding record on the screen. The q command saves the information in the database to the file specified by the user and terminate program.
Based on the project description, please design classes and their corresponding methods. You need describe each method and write API for each method (Leave method body blank) (Hint: you need design one driver class, one database class and one customer record class). Based on your design, please draw the UML diagram as well.

QUESTION 6 Complete combustion of 4.5892 a particular compound that contains only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen produces 10.4324 g of CO2 and 4.2705 g of H2O. The empirical formula of the compound is given by
C__________________ H______________________ O_____________ (indicate "1" if there is only one atom of a given type in the empirical formula.)
The molar mass of the compound is found to be 116.16 g/mol in a different experiment. What is the molecular formula of the compound?
C______________ H________________ O_____________________

A 0.100 g sample of an organic compound of an organic acid contains C, H, and O was combusted to determine the empirical formula. The combustion produced 0.2921 grams of CO2 and 0.0951 grams of H2O. Determine the number of moles of carbon in the compound, the number of moles of hydrogen in the compound, the number of grams of carbon, the number of grams of hydrogen, the number of grams oxygen as well as the empirical formula. The molecular weight of the compound was found to be 660 grams per mole, determine the molecular formula.

3. Learned (a.k.a. conditioned) responses to food-relevant stimuli can have powerful effects on eating. a. Define flavor-nutrient learning (a.k.a. flavor-postingestive consequence or flavor-calorie learning) and describe one example of empirical evidence that demonstrates its effect on food preference or intake (i.e. the training and testing method.) b. Define learned meal initiation and describe one example of empirical evidence that demonstrates its effect on eating behavior.
