Suppose that you have been hired by the UF student health services department to design a cohort study to assess the following hypothesis among UF students: Irregular sleep patterns increase the risk of headaches.

please note key word is "DESIGN A COHORT STUDY" not a case control study. chegg answered the same question but for case-control design. i need help for the cohort study though same questions

Be sure that your design addresses the following elements:

  1. Refine the study hypothesis so that it is as specific as possible and contains all elements of a “good” hypothesis.
  2. How will you identify and define the cases?
    • Are there any exclusion criteria that you would apply?
  3. How will you sample from the underlying population for your “controls”?
    • Who will you select as controls?
    • How will you select them?
  1. How will you define the exposure of interest?
    • How will you collect the information on exposure?
  2. What other information do you want to know about participants that may be related to the exposure of interest and/or the outcome (potential confounders)? Of these, what will you be able to collect and what will you be unable to collect?
  3. Which measures of disease frequency and association will you calculate?
  4. What are the strengths and limitations of your study?
    • Which limitations could be removed by using a different study design?
  5. What other information would you like to know to design this study?

8) Describe the elements of an experiment. Describe the elements of a correlational study. What sorts of

questions does each type of study examine?

9) What is a

effect? Describe three different “cohorts” that were born

during the last century. Describe three differences between the experiences of your cohort and your

grandparents’ cohort.

14) Recall the film “God Grew Tired of Us”. Describe normative history-graded (or cohort) differences

between Panther, John, & Daniels’s cohort in the Sudan and the current cohort of children in the United

States. How do you think the early traumatic experiences of the “Lost Boys” will affect their beliefs,

values, and priorities about family, responsibility, and life in the future?

Three point charges of q 1 =-5 uC , q 2 =3uC , q 3 =4 uC are located at (0, 0) , (4, 0) , and (0, 3) respectively . What is the electric force on charge , by other two charges . (Draw a q 2 diagram first and then find the force. Here 1 mu C=10^ -6 C)

Rivertown has two bridges and no tolls.   The hourly demand curves for vehicular bridge crossings are Bridge A, P = 125 – Q and Bridge B,   P = 60 – 0.5Q where P is the price for crossing the bridge and Q is the number of vehicles.

a. Find the total crossings and the total consumer surplus at the current price.

b. The Rivertown administration wishes to reduce vehicular traffic on both bridges to a total of 200 vehicles per hour and charge the same toll on both bridges.    Find the toll for both bridges and the traffic on each bridge that accomplishes that goal.

c. Find the change in consumer surplus from moving to no tolls to the the toll in part b.

d. The price elasticity of demand for each bridge at the toll price in part.

A Lecturer wishes to create a program that lists his students sorted by the number of theory assignment marks they have completed. The listing should be greatest number of assignment first, sub-sorted by name in lexicographical order (A to Z). A class Student stores the name and marks of assignment completed for a student.                                                    [5 marks]

Note: Assume the variable name of collection is list.

      i.         Provide a definition of Student with an equals() method. The comparison is based on name of the student.                                                                                     [3 marks]

ii.         Write java statement to declare a collection variable list of type Student             [2 marks]

iii.         Implements interface Comparator such that fulfil a natural ordering that matches the given requirement. Define method compareTo() such that it compares based on greatest number of assignment first, sub-sorted by name in lexicographical order (A to Z)). [5 marks]

iv.         Provide definition of find(String) method which returns the index if given name exists in collection.                                                                                                     [2 marks]

     v.         Provide a static method in application class to display all students by calling toString method. Assume the name of object of collection is list.                             [4 marks]

Let W denote the set of English words. For u, vW, declare uv provided that u, v have the same length and u, v have the same first letter and u, v have the same last letter.

a) Prove that ∼ is an equivalence relation.

b) List all elements of the equivalence class [a]

c) List all elements of [ox]

d) List all elements of [are]

e) List all elements of [five]. Can you find more than 15?

f) Bonus. Find all three letter words x such that [x] has 5 elements.
