1. What is the fundamental equation that guides changes to a weight wij in a BP network. Describe its components.
2. Multi-layer BP neural networks have no proof of converging to an optimal solution. Is this true? If it is, then why do we bother to use them?

Due to changes in social structures such as the economy and corporate America, some argue the American Dream is no longer available to all Americans. On the other hand, others still believe anyone can climb the social ladder and experience social mobility. Think about whether you agree or disagree with the idea that social mobility is achievable for most Americans.
Write an essay expressing your opinion about social mobility and the American Dream. Be sure to explain the sociological terms structural mobility and life chances in your response. Integrate these terms and concepts to discuss whether the American Dream is achievable for most Americans.

(a) Increasing the temperature of the reaction.
(b) Increasing the pressure on the reaction.
(c) Adding more O2 when the reaction is at equilibrium.
(d) Removing O2 from the system when the reaction is at equilibrium.
(e) Adding N2 gas to the reaction mixture

Show in writing which components of the Conceptual Framework listed below apply in decision-making of listed scenario. Identify the authors, theories, and models that may apply to decision-making.
Create in writing reflections perceived to identify and explain the responsibilities, roles, and personal behavior and characteristics of an educational/organizational leader.
The purpose of the Conceptual Framework (CF) as it relates to is to provide a foundation and organizational system through accomplishment of the primary objective,
Leaders who are: 1 – Visionary 2 – Organization 3 - Collaborative 4– Ethical 5 - Systemic 6 - Instructional
Standard 1: Human Capital Management Educational leaders use their role as human capital manager to drive improvements in building leader effectiveness and student achievement.
Standard 2: Instructional Leadership Educational leaders are acutely focused on effective teaching and learning, possess a deep and comprehensive understanding of best instructional practices, and continuously promote activities that contribute to the academic success of all students.
Standard 3: Personal Behavior Educational leaders model personal behavior that sets the tone for all student and adult relationships.
Standard 4: Building Relationships Educational leaders build relationships to ensure that all key stakeholders work effectively with each other to achieve transformative results.
Standard 5: Culture of Achievement Educational leaders develop an encompassing culture of achievement aligned to the institution’s vision of success for every student.
Standard 6: Organizational, Operational, and Resource Management Educational leaders’ leverage organizational, operational, and resource management skills to support improvement and achieve desired educational outcomes.
Question 1 ( Apply information above to answer) The work climate has proven to be an effective measuring stick to successful performance. Tell what effective educational leaders can do to ensure the work climate is conducive to fairness, crisis management, learning, professional development, and cultural diversity.
Tell what process can be utilized to measure work climate. As an educational leader, you have researched leadership theories and models. Name and explain how these varies theories and models can influence current educational situations of academic achievement in universities.

Suppose the U.S. Congress passes a budget which increases individual income
taxes by $120 billion and increases infrastructure spending (airports, roads,
bridges, etc.) by $50 billion. The increase in income taxes is concentrated at the top,
so the tax increase causes personal consumption expenditures to fall by only $30
billion. Use this information to answer the questions below. (20 pts)
a. At constant interest rates (“other things equal”), what would these policy
changes do to national saving and domestic investment spending?
Change in S =
Change in I =
b. Closed economy analysis: Assuming the U.S. financial system is closed to
international financial flows, draw an S/I diagram to illustrate the effect of
these policy changes on (1) U.S. interest rates and (2) the quantity of domestic
investment spending. Incorporate your numerical answers from part (a) into
your diagram.
-3-
c. Open economy analysis: Now assume that the U.S. financial system is open
and that the U.S. is small enough in the global financial system that you can
ignore the effect of these policy changes on global interest rates. Draw an S/I
diagram to illustrate the effect of the policy changes on (1) U.S. net capital
flows and (2) domestic investment spending. When drawing your diagram,
assume that the U.S. would have had net capital inflow without the policy
changes.

Velshi Printers has contracts to complete weekly supplements required by forty-six customers. For the year 2015, manufacturing overhead cost estimates total $840,000 for an annual production capacity of 12 million pages.
For 2015 Velshi Printers has decided to evaluate the use of additional cost pools. After analyzing manufacturing overhead costs, it was determined that number of design changes, setups, and inspections are the primary manufacturing overhead cost drivers. The following information was gathered during the analysis:
Cost pool Manufacturing overhead costs Activity level
Design changes $ 120,000 300 design changes
Setups 640,000 5,000 setups
Inspections 80,000 8,000 inspections
Total manufacturing overhead costs $840,000
During 2015, two customers, Money Managers and Hospital Systems, are expected to use the following printing services:
Activity Money Managers Hospital Systems
Pages 60,000 76,000
Design changes 10 0
Setups 20 10
Inspections 30 38
25) Assuming activity-cost pools are used, what are the activity-cost driver rates for design changes, setups, and inspections cost pools?
26) Using the three cost pools to allocate overhead costs, what is the total manufacturing overhead cost estimate for Money Managers during 2015?
A) $13,700
B) $6,500
C) $6,860
D) $10,192

Unfavorable changes with time and due to various metabolic processes in body composition have long been observed with aging. Loss of lean mass (LM) and accumulation of abdominal fat are most important changes that continuously take place in all adults and individuals as they age. All these events have been found to be associated with an increased risk of the development of type 2 diabetes in older adults. This is of high importance from a public health perspective where aging of the population specially developed countries is considered a factor contributing to the global burden of type 2 diabetes. The pattern and rate of age-related changes in body composition will vary by sex, race, region, physical activity level, diet and caloric intake. Recent evidences from longitudinal studies have shown differences in the pattern of body composition changes in adults by diabetes status. In this article, we reviewed body composition changes that take place in adults after the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and compared them to those observed in adults without diabetes as they age.
Q1. How impressive the beginning of the study is? Give specific reasons in support of your answers.
Q2. What are the objectives of this study?
Q3. Suggest and write a short title of this study.
Q4. What type of strategies will you suggest to avoid these complications in adults with type 2 diabetes as age advances?

1. Explain how changes in activity affect
CM and Net operating income
2. Interpret a CVP graph which portrays the revenue
and cost characteristics of a company's products and operations.
Explain how the lines on the graph and the break even point would
change if (a) the selling price per unit decreased, (b) fixed cost
increased during the entire range of activity portrayed on the
graph , and (c) variable cost per unit increased
3. How to use CM ratio to compute changes in CM and
Net operating income resulting from changes in sales
volume.
4. Explain the effects on CM of changes in variable
cost, fixed costs, selling price and volume
5. Define break even point and how it's
computed
6. Determine the level of sales needed to achieve a
desired target profit
7. Define Margin of Safety and explain its
significance.
8. Define Degree of Operating Leverage at a particular
level of sales and explain how it can be used to predict changes in
Net operating income
9. Compute the break even point for a multi product
company and explain the effects of shifts in the sales mix on CM
and the break even point. What assumption is usually made
concerning sales mix in CVP analysis. Explain how a shift in the
sales mix could result in a higher break even point and a lower net
income.
