Descriptions:
A. The combination of an egg and
sperm in glassware before placing
the blastocyst on the endometrium
B. A situation in which an embryo that
is not genetically related to a woman
is inserted into her uterus and
carried to term
C. A procedure where sperm are
collected and concentrated before
being placed into a woman’s uterus
D. A procedure to stimulate multiple
egg maturation in a cycle

33. Superovulation is when women take hormones in order to release more eggs for
fertilization. Which of the following rows contains hormones that are involved in
developing the follicles and releasing them from the ovary, respectively? What
could be the unintended consequence of this process?
A. Hormone Unintended Consequence
FSH and LH Scar tissue on the Fallopian tubes
B. Hormone Unintended Consequence
FSH and LH    A tubal ligation
C. Hormone    Unintended Consequence

D. Hormone    Unintended Consequence

34. Match each description with the appropriate prenatal diagnostic test.
Prenatal Diagnostic Tests:
CVS

Ultrasound
Amniocentesis

Descriptions:
A. High frequency sound waves create

35. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a procedure that can help couples who are having
difficulty becoming pregnant due to blocked Fallopian tubes, low sperm count,
low sperm motility, or sperm that cannot penetrate the outer layer of an egg,
among other conditions.
Normally, an ovary produces one mature ovum per 28-day cycle. In order to
ensure a successful IVF procedure, doctors try to retrieve a large number of
mature eggs.
In order to obtain a greater than normal number of mature eggs, doctors inject
the IVF candidate with a drug such as Bravellissima, which stimulates multiple
follicle development. They also administer a drug such as Centrotic, which
suppresses ovulation to prevent earlier than anticipated ovulation of mature ova.

that the IVF drugs are imitating?
A. Bravellissima    Centrotic
LH    Progesterone
B. Bravellissima    Centrotic

Technology is becoming more and more complicated every year. As technology becomes more complicated new security measures are required in order to protect individuals from theft. Most people do not understand how simple devices such as debit/card cards and online bill pay work, so how can they effectively protect themselves from theft. I believe we have reached a point in technology where most of our financial transactions are done over wire and not actually completed using tangible currency. In-fact only 30% of our financial transactions are completed using paper or coin (Amit, 2016). With such a complicated system of financial exchange I believe that companies that issue these financial devices should be responsible for protecting that sensitive information. As an example, lets say you create a new banking account with PayPal. You place all of you banking information into THEIR systems then spend accordingly. How can you protect your own money when someone else has it? It is not reasonable to ask the individual to be responsible in protecting their own interests with such a case.

As well, I am not stating that companies such as PayPal should provide this 'service' for free either. PayPal takes a fee for online transactions. As I am asking that they be liable for security of all of their customers money; they should be able to charge for this service as well.

Given ACi = f (qi, w, v, t) where t is technology and technology is cost-reducing, as t increases:

A)    What will be the long run effect on market price, P, and quantity, Q, and the number of firms in the industry, N, if it is a constant cost industry. Draw a graph of the long run supply and demand. On what will the size of the change in Q depend?

B)    If this is an increasing cost industry, how will your answer change (magnitude of changes in Q and P)? Draw it.
