Please answer this question ASAP an explain in detail. I really need it before the night is over.
a) Explain what a catalytic process is and how it is different from the non-catalytic version of the process. Give an example of an enzymatic process other than amylase and describe the substrate(s)/product(s):
b) Describe what the enzyme amylase does and what would happen in the absence of this enzyme:

5. A random variable is not normally distributed, but it is mound shaped. It has a mean of 14 and a standard deviation of 3. (Section 6.5)
a.) If you take a sample of size 10, can you say what the shape of the sampling
distribution for the sample mean is? Why?
b.) For a sample of size 10, state the mean of the sample mean and the standard deviation of the sample mean.
c.) If you take a sample of size 35, can you say what the distribution of the
sample mean is?

First, I want you to pick something that you have been thinking about changing in you life (maybe a major decision) but have been on the fence in doing it or unsuccessful in getting to it. Something that you are willing to talk about in class that's appropriate. It must be meaningful (Not something like -- I have been thinking about changing the shower curtain). It may be something that you have attempted to change in the past or maybe not. Yet, it is something that is often at the forefront in your thinking or that you are waiting for a "perfect" time to do it. Be concrete, just pick one thing, e.g, I want to go on a diet to lose 10 lbs, I want to start going to the gym several times a week, I have be thinking of getting a personal training certificate, or I want to quite smoking. Once you name it, access the article from the UMUC library, In Search of How People Change: Applications to addictive behaviors by Prochaska, DiClemente, and Norcoss. Source: The American Psychologist. Sept, 1992, Vol. 47 Issue 9, p1102, 13 p. Read this seminal work. Then read this client-version:
https://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-and-mood/why-behavior-change-is-hard-and-why-you-should-keep-trying
Then write your post. Introduction what you have been thinking about changing, then use the resources above (only) and discussion the stage that you are currently in and justify in detail (a sentence or two won't do) why you selected this stage versus others. Make sure you indicate why you are not in the other stages too. There are many people who have fraudulently taken this model and added stages -- only use this resources. Don't take a short-cut and only read the client-friendly version :) because your post will reflect this. Remember always paragraph form -- and this is a minimum of a 2 paragraph submission for your own post.

6. For your chosen country, what are some things that limit the country's ability to have economic growth and what are some things the country could do to grow its economy and possibly move up the GDP per Capita rankings in the future? Explain.
7. You are appointed as the new leader of your chosen country. What changes would you make in your country to help your country grow its economy in the next 1-5 years? What about for the next 6-10 years? What about 11 years and into the future for the long term benefit of your country? Explain.

You are the chief accountant for ZM Corp., which is located in Illinois. In November 2017, that state had the second highest unemployment rate in the Midwest: 4.9% (down from 6.1% in January 2015).1 For the past few years, you have noticed that the company’s bad debt rate has been about 7% of year-end accounts receivable. That rate of bad debts has severely affected the company’s profitability…especially since management has steadily been lowering the standards for granting credit to customers.
Your salary structure (as well as that of other corporate managers) allows for a bonus when net income is equal to or greater than a specific percentage of net sales. Unfortunately, that profit metric has not been reached in four years. However, the CEO and CFO (who is retiring after the first quarter of 2018) realized that a change in the bad debts percentage would allow them and you to obtain bonuses in 2017. If bad debts were computed at 2% of year-end A/R rather than 7%, everyone would receive a reasonable (but not extreme) bonus for 2017. The CEO justifies the use of that rate by concluding that, since unemployment in Illinois has been decreasing over the past few years, so will bad debts.
a. Is a change in a bad debts estimate permissible under generally accepted accounting principles? If yes, explain how such a change is effected. If no, explain why such a change would not be allowed. (1 pt.)
b. Would making such a change in the bad debts estimate violate any basic accounting concepts? Explain your yes or no answer. (2 pts.)
c. Provide at least two alternatives to help improve the company’s profit performance. (1/2 pt. for each, up to 1 pt.)
d. You have a new baby at home as of September 2017. The bonus would help with the added expenses. Additionally, you are up for promotion to CFO next year upon the retirement of the current CFO; allowing the current CEO and CFO to receive their bonuses would certainly bring positive recommendations for that new position.
1. Is reducing the bad debts estimate illegal? Explain. (1/2 pt.)
2. Is reducing the bad debts estimate unethical, given the CEO’s justification? Explain. (1/2 pt.)
e. Assume that the CEO and CFO are very adamant that the bad debts percentage be reduced in 2017 to 2% of year-end receivables. The 5% difference is not material to the financial statements. You believe that you will be terminated if you don’t make this adjustment. What should you consider in making your decision? (2 pts.)

Trying to figure out what topic i should use for my Environmental class, Any suggestions and a couple points to write about would be awesome?
*****Here is the project details;
For a major part of your grade, you are going to research and complete an environmental issues paper. This will help you build the skills necessary to develop an informed opinion and present that opinion in written form. This project will serve as a final assessment for the course. Using the content of the course, critically evaluate and analyze a controversial environmental issue of your choosing. You must examine the pros, cons, compromises, and tradeoffs of the issue by gathering credible information from various sources and assess the scientific credibility of the information. You will then develop from this information a well thought out paper that will address the major players involved, relevant cited facts, and a clearly identified opinion.
The first part of this project will be to submit a topic to your instructor for approval. Research the topic using online library, the online library, scientific journals, government documents, books, science magazines, and personal interviews. Peer reviewed sources should form the basis of your paper. Use a minimum of 6 sources. The final paper should be double-spaced, 12 point, and 6 to 8 pages in length with citations in APA format. Anytime you use the writings or ideas of others as though they were your own, you are plagiarizing (even if you paraphrase). All information and ideas that are not a part of general knowledge must be cited. When in doubt, cite!
Your final paper should address the following key points:
The Controversy: Identify the controversy
The Major Players: Who is involved? Why are they involved?
Important Facts: State relevant facts concerning the issue. Try to separate fact from opinion. Try not to show your own bias. Properly use APA citations
Side One: Arguments; state briefly and cite your sources
Side Two: Arguments; state briefly and cite your sources
Your Opinion and Rationale: I believe that..., We should..., I feel that... Use supporting arguments and rationale. What arguments would you use to present to those who disagree with you? Cite all of your sources.
References: Alphabetize your sources. Make sure there are sources representing both sides of the issue.
The schedule of deliverables for this project are:
Week 02 - Topic Submission
Week 03 - Begin Research
Week 04 - Reference List
Week 05 - Rough Draft - Peer Review
Week 06 - Final Paper
