You have two very ill patients this week, and each of them presents a very complicated case. First, you have a patient with an ongoing problem that has resisted diagnosis. He was enroute to an evaluation with a neurologist, but on the way to the hospital suddenly fell into a coma (a state of involuntary unconsciousness due to illness or injury) and had to be brought in to your medical facility by ambulance.

You will use at least 10 medical terms to describe this patient, and to refer to the original underlying problem the patient had in the first place. Use the nervous system medical word elements chart and the medical, surgical, and diagnostic terms chart on from your textbook to get you started on the medical terms you will need. You can include specific drugs used in neurological disease as you list at least 3 tests and procedures used.

Your second patient this week is also quite ill and is presenting a number of problems. This patient is diabetic, and also has another Endocrine System disorder (of your choice). Consult the endocrine medical word elements chart as you develop medical terms—include at least 10 that would be appropriate in this case. You should consult  medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures in your textbook as you select at least 3 tests and procedures for this patient. .

You will be asked to come up with two original questions based on the work of two different authors in each week’s required readings. Think about what stood out to you in the works in question—what ideas, theories, or approaches did you find to be interesting, engaging, or perhaps intriguing or challenging? Your task is then to do your best to answer each of your own questions as incisively and thoroughly as possible within a word-count range of around 350-500 words maximum (posts with fewer than 250 words will not receive any credit). The word count includes your question but not any citations. You must cite at least one source, which will be the particular essay or article from the required readings you are addressing.

Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil, Preface, Parts 1, 2, & 3: [§1-62] pp. 3-57.

Study Guide: SparkNotes on Beyond Good and Evil. (Note: These notes cover the entire book; the section that relates to your specific assignment can be found on pp. 1-12; these notes will be very helpful in understanding Nietzsche's thinking, especially for those new to his work.).

You want to buy a car valued at $48,000. You will make an upfront down-payment of $5,000 on the car, and borrow the rest of the money from your bank. Your bank will give you a 5-year loan at 2.5% APR compounded semi-annually. You plan to make biweekly payments (i.e., one payment every two weeks) on the loan. The bank requires that you make the first payment two weeks after you signed the loan contract. Find the answer to the following questions.

a. What is the effective annual rate?

b. What is the effective biweekly rate?

c. What will be your biweekly loan payment?

d. What is the balance on your loan in 3 years’ time, after 78 payments?

e. Show the amortization schedule (table) for the first 5 payments. If you are doing this on an Excel spreadsheet, copy and paste the first 5 rows from the amortization schedule into a Microsoft Word (or any other word-processing software) document file.

f. You want to put enough money into your bank account to pay for the loan payments for the next six months. If your bank account yields an APR of 2% (compounded bi-weekly), how much money should you put in your bank account now?

0. What is a T-account and why is it used?
0. What are the rules for debit and credit?
0. (Respond to this answer I’m 100+ word summary) A T-account is a representation of a general ledger account. The name of the account will be on the top of the T, while debit entries are shown on the left side and credit entries are shown on the right. The T-account is a tool used in double entry accounting, showing how one side of an accounting transaction is reflected in another. This method is not used in single entry accounting since only one account is impacted. To balance a T account you just add amounts on both sides and bring each total down, this is as long as it is just credit and debit entries.
0. (Respond to this answer I’m 100+ word summary) Debit is on the left and credit is on the right side of a T-Account. They are used to indicate the increase or decrease in certain accounts. When there is a change in an account, that change is indicated by either debiting or crediting that account on the assets or expenses side. The entry has to be either a credit or debit, it can not be both. When it's a debit, an increase is recorded on the debit side and a decrease is recorded on the credit side of all asset accounts its a credit, an increase is recorded on the debit side and a decrease is recorded on the credit side of all expense accounts
