The weather company you work for is performing an analysis on predicting sandstorms accurately in Phoenix. You have been given a large dataset and are asked to determine which factors could be used to accurately predict them.

The dataset you are provided with has over 50 variables. With your vast knowledge of Excel, you determine that 4 variables can be used as predictors to accurately predict sandstorms. Your boss is not convinced and decided to ask you some questions.

  1. You mentioned that before you even begin doing this “regression analysis” of yours, you discarded about half of the variables. How did you choose which variables to discard, and more importantly, why does it matter?

  1. You asked a friend and he told you that in his company they use both “Relative Humidity” and “Number of Sunny Hours” to predict sandstorms. In your report, you mention you only use the “Relative Humidity”, because of it being highly correlated with “Number of Sunny Hours”.  However, by themselves each are good predictors, why didn’t you use both? Wouldn’t that make the model better?

  1. By looking at the correlation matrix you created between independent variables and the dependent variable, which independent variables based on the type of correlation did you discard or keep, and why?
    1. Strong positive correlation
    2. Weak positive correlation
    3. No correlation
    4. Weak negative correlation
    5. Strong negative correlation

Kumar’s business was doing well and it made him a profit of $20,000 each month. He needed to make some modifications to his business premise and thus engaged Bob Builders to do the renovation work. He wanted it completed by 31 May. He was assured that the work would be completed in time. He was informed that the renovation work would begin immediately after Council approval for the renovations was granted and that Council approval would normally only take 15 days. A contract was signed for the renovation work but it did not mention anything about Council approval of the renovation work or the assurance of work being started promptly after approval by the Council. The Council took a longer time than expected to approve the renovation work. In the meantime, Bob Builders picked up another renovation project with Matt and started working on that. When approval finally arrived for Kumar’s renovation work, Bob Builders found that it was too busy with the other project and did not start on Kumar’s renovation work. Bob Builderstold Kumar that his project would have to wait for another two months before they would start on it. They blamed the Council for the delay. As a result of all of this, Kumar’s business got disrupted and he lost two months of profit. The work was only completed on 31 July . He also lost a lucrative contract worth $100,000 during the period of delay in completing the renovations. Advise Kumar as to his rights in Contract Law.

A few days later Mr Choden is investigating the purchase of a cafe in the city from William. He does a thorough analysis of the café business and is impressed but Mr Choden particularly likes the café because the premises include an upstairs apartment which suits him in every way including its central city location. When showing Mr Choden around the café on one of his visits one of the customers exclaims “This is a great buy. It’s always packed here at lunch time.” WIlliam quickly says “That’s right; we always have full tables at lunch time because of the workers from the furniture shop nearby. We are the closest cafe.” This is true but William does not mention that the shop owners have told him that the shop will soon be closed and that the furniture shop will be moved to the suburbs. After William and Mr Choden sign the written contract for sale of the cafe an announcement comes that the shop will soon close. Mr Choden is annoyed but thinks that he still wants to go ahead with the purchase although he has not said anything to William.

QUESTION THREE: (20 marks. 720 words maximum)
Discuss whether William has made a contractual misrepresentation about the business to Mr Choden and the possible remedies that he might have under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017. Include in your answer a brief explanation as to whether the customer’s response is of any significance.

Question 1: Write a program in C++ using multi filing which means 3 files ( main file, header file, and functions file) and attached screenshots as well. Attempt the Question completely which contain a and b parts

a) Write a program that takes a number from the user and checks whether the number entered validates the given format: “0322-5441576”, xxxx-xxxxxxx where “x” implies the digits only and first two digits are 0 and 3 respectively. The program also identifies the Network of the given number. (Use of string related functions is a must)

b) Write a program that takes a string from the user, identifies and counts all unique characters in that given string. You are bound to use only built-in string functions where necessary. For identification of unique characters and for counting of the characters make separate functions.

For character identification

Develop a program that takes a string argument, and returns an array containing all unique characters.

For character counting

Develop a program that takes an array returned from above function as an argument along with the given string and return an array containing the total count of each uniquely identified character present in the argument array.

Note: kindly write a proper code of program mention in Question and answer complete Question along with both parts and screenshots Thanks.....

Carbohydrates are the main sources of fuel for the body. They’re broken down into glucose, which
is “burned” as fuel for the body.
i. What is expected to occur when the body’s supply of glucose runs out?
ii. Would insulin or glucagon be of any importance in this regard? Explain your answer.
iii. As a nurse on duty, a patient is brought to the emergency ward with symptoms of weakness,
dizziness, headache and slight disorientation. The patient has a history of diabetes. Give a
step by step description of what you will do to take care of this patient. What would you
say was the problem with this patient? Is there any remedy to salvage the patient’s
situation?
iv. What are some of the physical presentations of long-term complications of diabetes?
(Mention and explain any two)
v. A postpartum woman has just been told that her new born is G6PD positive. What advice
would you give as her nurse on how to take care of this child?

2. (a) If a person is deficient in Vitamin B6, what is the consequence? How does this deficiency affect
amino acid metabolism?
(b) Briefly describe and explain what happens when there is a defect in phenylalanine metabolism.
(c) A patient presents with symptoms of blurred vision, tremors, and has difficulty speaking. Lab
tests reveal increased levels of ammonia and upon further questioning, you find out that he is an
alcoholic. What is wrong with this patient, and how will you as a nurse manage him?

For example, a definite integral of a velocity function gives the accumulated distance over the period. You should also be growing more comfortable with how the units work – for example, integrating meters per second with respect to seconds gives meters.Your job is to find an article that refers to a definite integral. It is possible that you will be able to find an explicit mention of a definite integral. Much more likely, though, the definite integral will be implied – the article will actually be about accumulated change. You may look on the Internet, or in any newspaper, magazine, or trade journal. Your example must come from a setting outside of calculus. In particular, you may not use any example from our textbook, any other math textbook, or any other discussion of calculus you find online.

1. A copy of the article with complete source information. Highlight or write the part of the article that mentions the definite integral. 2. Write a few sentences telling what the integrand (the function inside the integral) represents, what the limits of integration are, and what the definite integral represents.3. Assign some letters to the variables here. Using the letters/variables you have chosen, write the definite integral that you have found. Show that the units work properly in your example. (I do not expect you to compute anything here.)

Design of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
Crude oil at 198°C is to be cooled to 39°C. The oil flow-rate is 6.127 kg/s. Cooling water
is available at 29°C and at the rate of 27.127 kg/s. The pressure drop allowance for each stream
is 100 kN/m2
. Design a suitable shell and tube heat exchanger for this duty.

The following are the properties of the two streams at the average temperature:

water crude oil
density kg/m3 990 850

viscosity mNm-2 s

0.680 0.18
thermal conductivity W/m K 0.630 0.130
specific heat kJ/ kg °K 4.2 2.3

Data:
Assume overall heat transfer coefficient of 502 W/m2 K.
Tubes: 20 mm o.d., 16 mm i.d. tubes, 4 m long, square pitch 1.25do, carbon steel.
Pull through head, Floating Head type heat exchanger.
Baffle = 1/5 of the shell diameter and 25 % cut baffles
Fouling factors 0.0003 m2 K/ W for cooling water and 0.0002 m2 K/ W for crude oil
Thermal conductivity of metal = 57 W/m K

Present your results with detailed calculations to design Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger. Mention the various assumptions made in the calculations.

Estimate the cost of the heat exchanger.
