Currently, when a firm lays off a worker, the firm pays part of the worker’s unemployment compensation (the rest of the money comes from the system’s general revenue). One suggested reform would require firms to pay all of the worker’s unemployment compensation. How will this reform affect the natural rate of unemployment? Explain your answer. Use the equation for the natural rate of unemployment to explain your answer

there is no additional detail to the problem.

Be sure to clearly state your hypotheses in the hypothesis tests and state your conclusions in terms of the problem. Use ?=.?? for all tests.

The following table presents shear strength (in kN/mm) and weld diameters (in mm) for a sample of spot welds.

Diameter Strength

4.2                51

4.4                54

4.6               69

4.8                81

5.0                75

5.2               79

5.4                89

5.6               101

5.8                98

6.0               102

6.Can the least-squares line be used to predict the strength for a diameter of 8 mm? If so, predict the strength. If not, explain why not.

7.For what diameter would you predict a strength of 95 kN/mm?

8.Compute the coefficient of determination and explain what it represents.

9.Compute a 90% confidence interval for the mean shear strength of welds with diameters of 5.1 mm.

10.Compute a 99% prediction interval for the shear strength of particular weld with diameter 5.1 mm.

11.Construct two residual plots (residuals versus the fitted y values and a normal probability plot of the residuals) and discuss what they tell you about the fit of the model and whether the model assumptions are satisfied.

Course Project: Nutrition Care Process: Assessment

Assignment Overview

After reading the case study below, you will create a nutrition care plan for the client. This week you will complete section A, the nutritional assessment. This portion of your nutrition care plan is worth 40 points. Please refer to the Grading section of this document for the distribution of these points. You will also find Writing Guidelines at the end of this document that will assist you in meeting the expectations for writing your care plan.

This assignment is intended to explore basic nutritional principles such as energy requirements, sources, and uses. Additionally, you will formulate nutritional assessments and describe nutritional requirements corresponding to stages in the life span. You will also examine how effective nutritional counseling is contingent upon collaboration, organization, and concurrence among the members of the health care team.

Case Study: Mr. Leonard Anderson is a 38-year-old male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 215 lbs. This has been his stable weight for most of his adult life. He has been diagnosed with GERD. Testing revealed he has a narrowing of his esophagus from the GERD. His symptoms consisted of food (even though chewed thoroughly) getting caught in his throat, and frequent and severe heartburn about 1 hour after eating. Mr. Anderson continues to eat his diet which is high in carbohydrates and fat. He also complained of some pain in and around his jaw and neck. Mr. Anderson meets with his physician and is started on a proton pump inhibitor. Mr. Anderson is concerned because he has never taken anything besides over-the-counter medicines before. He is also scheduled for a colonoscopy. It was noted that he has diverticulosis.

Complete the following:

Review Nutrition Care Process at the eatrightPRO® website (you can locate this article by going to www.eatrightpro.org, clicking on Practice in the top navigation, and in the Dietetics Resources section, click on “Nutrition Care Process”) and Chapter 17 of your text. Use the digital library resources for research.

Complete a nutrition care plan for Mr. Anderson using the Nutrition Care Process worksheet located in your course. Note: You will need to open this document and save it to your computer. Use the same template for weeks 8, 9 and 10.

Focusing on the assessment portion of the plan, complete the portions of Section A.

You have accidentally mixed a bunch of amino acids (tryptophan, tyrosine, alanine, selenocysteine, proline, arginine) together and once your boss finds out, you will be fired on the spot. Your only hope of saving your job is to separate them before anyone finds out. You decide that the only viable option is to use ion exchange chromatography. Explain, in detail, how you would do this?

4. A group of GPs consult you as they normally run their Clinical Information System (CIS) as a desktop application, and they are considering moving entirely to a commercial cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. However, they are concerned about the security of relocating and storing large amounts of their patient sensitive information onto the cloud, as the data will no longer be stored within their GP practice and under their control. Explain in detail your advice to this group of GPs in this situation?
