A calculation engine is being built to set up an order-of-operations for solving equations. The priority of the operations is as follows:

1. Parentheses, Priority 1 highest

2. Exponents, Priority 2

3. Multiplication, Priority 3

4. Division, also Priority 3

5. Modulus, also Priority 3

6. Addition, Priority 4, Lowest

7. Subtraction, Also priority 4

Each of bulleted items in the list above is represented by a one-bit input wire in a control circuit system, for a total of 7 inputs. The outputs are binary integers 1 through 4.

Use combinational logic and gate logic to create a piece of control circuitry that will assign the correct 2-bit binary integer based on the system priority. The output should be the highest priority among the inputs.

Include a short, well-written description about the approach you chose. Do not include a 128-line truth table. If you use this approach, you are going about it the wrong way. Remember: Divide and Conquer!

the final set of outputs on question 4.4 would be in the form of {001,010,011,100}.

a. Write the least squares prediction equation for y= total number of runs scored by a team in a season.

y=(3.88)+(0.37)X1+(0.51)X2+(0.74) X3+(1.17).X4+(1.44) X5. CORRECT ANSWERS (Type integers or decimals.)

b. Interpret, practically, β0 and β1 in the model. Which statement below best interprets β0?

A. For a change of β0 in any variable, the runs scored increases by 1.

C. For an increase of 1 in any variable, the runs scored changes by β0.

D. For a change of β0 in any variable, the runs scored decreases by 1.

E. This parameter does not have a practical interpretation. Your answer is correct.

Which statement below best interprets β1?

A. For an increase of 1 in the number of walks, the runs scored changes by β1.

B. For a change of β1 in the number of walks, the runs scored increases by 1.

C. For a decrease of 1 in the number of walks, the runs scored changes by β1.

D. For a change of β1in the number of walks, the runs scored decreases by 1.

E. This parameter does not have a practical interpretation.

Is more than one shape possible for the caproic acid molecule? If you built a model of stearic acid by extending the carbon chain of caproic acid to18 carbons, would it have more, less, or the same number of possible shapes as the number of shapes for caproic acid? Can you write a general rule that relates the length of a fatty acid chain (carbon skeleton, backbone) to the number of shapes possible?

Unrelated but... Do the open chain and closed ring forms of glucose have the same molecular weight?

Your client built a house in 2012 at a cost of $2 million. During Harvey storm, the house got flooded and there was a 2 ft. water in the house. He finished remodeling the house in 2018 at a cost $150,000. The approximate square feet of the house is 10,000. The fair market of the house before the flood damage was 2,125,000 and the fair market value after the flood damage was $1,500,000. There was a considerable damage to the furniture, fixtures and other contents of the house. Calculate Casualty loss from the house assuming his AGI for 2017 is $350,000. File IRS-form 4684

Suppose your company has built a database application that runs on a centralized database, but even with a high-end computer and appropriate indices created on the data, the system is not able to handle the transaction load, leading to slow processing of queries. What would be some of your options to allow the application to handle the transaction load?

Jet Li Berhad (JLB) has built an offshore wind farm with the purpose of testing the efficiency of its prototype wind turbines. JLB has applied to the authority for approval for production of its new prototype but has only received permission to test the prototype wind turbine. The wind farm development will enable JLB to test the reliability of the new wind turbines which should assist in developing more efficient and cost effective offshore wind turbines but as yet, there has not been any commercial production of the prototype wind turbines as there is still some slight doubt over the durability of the wind turbine in extreme weather conditions. The renewable energy generated during the testing phase of the wind turbines is sold to the national regulator of electricity. There is sufficient resource to complete the wind farm project but the energy income has not been included in management’s resource planning. The Board of Directors of JLB wishes to know how the expenditure on the wind farm and the income from the sale of energy should be treated in the financial statements.

Required :

As the accountant of Jet Li Berhad, advise the Board of Directors regarding the recognition of development costs and the income from the sale of energy in the financial statements in accordance to MFRS 138 Intangible Assets.

A manufacturer of aluminium cabinets (built-in cabinets in vehicles) delivers 50 cabinets per day to a customer. The fluctuation is 25 pieces per week. The customer demand must be 100% fulfilled.
The processing time per cabinet is 20 minutes in machining (3-shift operation possible), 24 h for 55 cabinets in coating (incl. drying time) and 0.5 h in assembly incl. quality inspection. In assembly up to 4 workstations can work in parallel. After assembly there is a buffer of up to 25 cabinets. A buffer of one daily quantity should be available before each processing step. One cabinet per day is sorted out due to quality defects in assembly. There are no other quality problems.
There is space on a load carrier for the parts of up to 15 cabinets (without necessary C parts). The load carriers are loaded after machining and then serve as load carriers until assembly.
For your calculations, assume 20 working days / 4 weeks per month and an equally distributed working time of 40h/week.
a) How many Kanban are needed for the system?
b) What is the maximum stock in circulation?
c) How would you provide standard parts, e.g. screws and hinges (classified as CXK in the supply concept) in the assembly? Explain your decision.

Evans built a house for Sandra Dyer, but the house had some problems. The garage ceiling was too low. Load-bearing beams in the “great room” cracked and appeared to be steadily weakening. The patio did not drain properly. Pipes froze. Evans wanted the money promised for the job, but Dyer refused to pay.
What are your thoughts and comments..elaborate in detail
